The Customer is Right

The moral from the US presidential election (and the Brexit referendum before it) could not be clearer: governments and companies exist to deliver value to their constituents/customers.  Customers and constituents should never be taken for granted.  Relevance to their needs is what determines the strength of the franchise of any government or company.

Yes, and perhaps the (disruptive) time has come to aim higher and take on a multi-disciplinary effort to re-brand capitalism itself. As the over-arching context for those (free) market behaviors that do (or do not) deliver real and perceived value to constituents/customers, why not draw more attention to evolved thinking/practices about capitalism, such as demonstrated by Conscious Capitalism, or Inclusive Capitalism.
